Did you Know?

Lori Pederson
Did You Know?

Everybody who has ever been into the Aerospace Campus library knows Lori Pederson.  She is the ATC Library Coordinator who is on hand almost everyday to sign out books, answer questions and help find resources.

But what you may not know, is that Lori also sources many of the job postings seen on this page!  It's a great help to students who are looking at a career after school, and for alumni who may be thinking about the next step on their chosen career path.  In fact, Lori mentions that, "these postings help students and alumni more than you would think.  They help solidify a career plan, let you know where in the country the offers the most opportunities, what the job titles are, and in some cases, even the salary."

With that great advice in mind, we encourage you to take a few moments and look at some past postings to see what positions appeal to you, what steps you might need to get there and where you see yourself fitting in.

Thank you Lori, for continuing to support the Aviation Operations students in so many ways.

For a great night celebrating aviation in BC, save October 26 for the annual BC Aviation Council Silver Wings Awards Banquet.

The evening begins at 1800 at the Vancouver Convention Centre with great food, good music and the opportunity to network with aviation professionals from all aspects of the industry in BC.

The Silver Wings Awards themselves show us how people in aviation in BC have impacted the industry in areas such as safety, environment, entrepreneurship, and leadership. And of course, it's an opportunity to celebrate and support the next group of professionals through the BC Aviation Council Scholarships.  Spoiler alert - this year come and celebrate the Aviation Operations awards winners of  2016:
