JOB OPPORTUNITY # 25-16 Airport Security Shift Manager September 23, 2016 Position: This position reports to the Airport Operations Manager to ensure the successful management of the services that SRG provides to the Winnipeg Airports Authority. Salary Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hour based on experience and qualifications Key Responsibilities: Assist the Airport Operations Manager with the scheduling conforming to the Collective Agreement and Labour Standards Report emergencies to the Airport Operations Manager Ensure site vehicles are properly maintained Ensure the Operations Manager duties are performed in his/her absence Perform employee evaluations Responsible for ensuring compliance of Health & Safety, Labour Relations rules, Collective agreements and external governing authorities Assisting HR and Airport Operations Manager, with hiring, training and discipline of employees Conduct shift briefings and attend other meetings as required Take calls from the AOC and coordinates the correct response Performs other tasks and duties as assigned Required Qualifications : Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Security Management Broad understanding and knowledge of current rules, regulations and statutes imposed by authorities having jurisdiction and ensure compliance Knowledge of Federal Legislation, CASAR’s and ASM’s Excellent customer service and problem solving skills. Valid Manitoba Justice Security Guard License. Effective written/oral communication skills in English. Ability to work indoors and outdoors Planning and organizational skills Ability to exhibit a calm and reasoned approach when dealing with high stress situations with ability to be assertive when required. Ability to be flexible and adapt to an ever changing work environment. Ability to work within a structured team environment.
