| Practicum students gain unique insights |
During the practicum experiences, students are able to apply their aviation knowledge and enthusiasm to actively contribute to the industry workplace while increasing their learning and adding to their skill-set. And at the same time, practicum hosts benefit from the help with special projects that these keen aviation students provide. Students have provided expertise and assistance with projects ranging from the development of airport plans, to planning and organizing special events, to providing specialized customer services.

| Practicum Students provide valuable customer service support |
Two practicum opportunities are provided in the 16-month Airport Operations program, the first in Term 2 (90 hours) and the second in Term 3 (150 hours).
Term 2 practicum students are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They have completed course work in technical writing, communications, leadership, marketing, governance, project management, aviation security and safety. They also have some knowledge of terminal and airside operations. (Practicum 90 hours, spread over approximately 3 weeks).

| Practicum Students Provide useful documentation support |
Term 3 practicum students are eager to put their knowledge, skills and experience to good use. They are familiar with quality systems, airport safety, emergency preparedness, environment and wildlife management systems, terminal and groundside safety, planning, design and capacity. (Practicum 150 hours, spread over a period of approximately 5 weeks)
